- Mearns Archers would like to invite you to an outdoor Target Competition
This will take place at Playing fields across from Mearns Academy in Laurencekirk on Sunday 27th July 2025
This is an open competition to which all archers from other Associations are kindly invited and will shoot as guests covered by STAFAA insurance.
All Archers must present a valid shoot card on the day.
It will be a 9:30am for 10:00am start
The shoot will take place on the playing fields across from the school
Mearns Academy,
Aberdeen Road,
Laurencekirk,
AB30 1ZJ
It will be a 900 round, 30 arrows shot at each of 60:50:40 metres in ends of 6 arrows (5 ends at each distance) for adults
and 30 arrows shot at each of 40:30:20 metres for under 18s
All categories (Compound, Recurve, Barebow) will shoot these distances, all on 122cm face.

The shoot will take place on a school playing field so please use aluminium or aluminium/carbon composite arrows if possible. Anyone using all carbon arrows must find any lost arrows before leaving the field.
Please bring a packed lunch. (There is a Co-Op across the road)
